Entries autosave to this browser (IndexedDB, scoped to your account) so a refresh does not erase a draft. With Neon + Clerk, entries sync to your private Postgres rows. After Google Drive consent, Weave also writes a human-readable archive into your Google Doc — never a shared service-account file. Different Google accounts never see each other’s journals. Weave does not sell writing. Insights are generated from the current draft only — no past-entry RAG in this MVP.
Voice uses the browser Web Speech API when available. Audio is not sent to Weave servers.
Optional model insights use OpenAI (gpt-4o-mini) when OPENAI_API_KEY is set. Without it, Weave uses a local retrieval + template companion so the rail still works.
